The U.K. Competition Appeal Tribunal will take the reins of a £270 million ($325 million) antitrust lawsuit which accuses Microsoft Corp. of stifling the resale market for its software licenses, a High Court judge has ordered.
Judge David Foxton issued the order on Nov. 16 that the claim brought by software reseller ValueLicensing should be transferred to the specialist competition tribunal. ValueLicensing is battling the tech titan's alleged efforts to destroy the pre-owned market for its software in the U.K., according to court documents recently made available.
